BlockTober 2025 is a rangatahi-informed campaign led by Hāpai Te Hauora, aimed at providing education around vapes and the associated harms for young people.

BBenefit: How does this benefit me, my peers or my whānau?
LLife: Does this enhance my life and future?
OOranga Whenua, Oranga Tangata: Does this align with my wellbeing, and the wellbeing of my environment?
CChoices: Am I making informed decisions that are best for me?
KKaupapa: What is my kaupapa or purpose, and how does it support ownership of my hauora and future?
Holding the essence of B.L.O.C.K – we have an additional tool that was created for our kura kaupapa Māori, named Oke-Tope
Tukuna: Mā wai ēnei tuku ihotanga? Māu rānei, mā tō whānau rānei, mā tētahi atu rānei?
Tiakina: Ka tiaki rānei tēnei i te oranga me te āpōpō e whāia nei e au?
Tokona: Mā tēnie e tokona ai te ara pai hei whai māku?
Tākina: Nāku anō rānei tēnei i taki? Nā tētahi atu rānei?
Tauira: Hei tauira koe ki te tangata. Whakataurihia tō Mana Motuhake.
School Tour
The BlockTober Crew will tour six regions, offering positive messaging through interactive sessions that blend dance, education and tikanga Māori.
Led by Montel Tivoli and supported by The Collective, a renowned dance crew, these sessions are underpinned by the Vapefree messaging.
By integrating impactful performances, BlockTober aims to create behaviour change through the use of the BLOCK and Oke-Tope tools.
