Ko Eden Keung tōku ingoa No Kirikiriroa ahau Ko Tainui te waka Ko Kakepuku te maunga Ko Ngāti Maniapoto te iwi Ko Ngāti Aapakura te hapū Ko Te Korapatu te marae Ko Haereiti te whānau My name is Eden Keung, I’ve recently graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor degree in Health Science. I am of Māori, Samoan, and Chinese descent and grew up in Hamilton. Many in family have pursued clinical careers in Health and I intended to do the same. Upon beginning my studies, I learnt about population health, health promotion and the importance of preventative approaches. It’s since become a passion of mine to assist in improving the outcomes of Māori and Pacific populations through Public Health. I was blessed with an opportunity to work with Hāpai te Hauora as a student intern, and have recently joined the National Māori Public Health team with the intent of pushing for better health outcomes for our people.
