Venue: Holiday Inn Rotorua
Address: 10 Tryon Street, Rotorua, Bay of Plenty 3010
The National Coordination Service, Ministry of Health and PMGH Expert Advisory Group invite you to the upcoming National Training Forum. This year's training forum theme is self-care and wellness.
Currently flights within the regions are limited, Air New Zealand is the only airline that flies into Rotorua.
Driving to Rotorua is a scenic view, from Auckland the drive is approx 3.5hrs.
Unfortunately we have not been able to secure a discount for rooms at Holiday Inn, due to COVID-19. However, rooms rates are still at low prices, so make sure to secure your room early.
Alternatively, there are a number of other hotels, motels and Air BnBs in the area. There is also the option of sleeping at a local marae, if you wanted an experience - please get in contact with the team and we'll see what we can organise.
The conference programme is currently in the process of being finalised, once we have a final version it will be distributed to the sector.
The powhiri will mark the start of the conference, at 3pm on the 3rd August. Attendance to this powhiri is recommended.
There will be a day dedicated to learning about self-care practices and how these can be used in our mahi.
There will also be a day of training, split into clinical and public health streams.
On the last night, there will be time for self-funded activities, followed by dinner and a show. More information will come out once details have been confirmed.
On the final day, there will be time in the morning for caucus hui and finishing with a poroporoaki and shared kai.
