Cynthia has over 14 years’ experience in Podiatry clinical practice and health research, both within rural community and secondary care services. Cynthia is a Clinical Advisor for Podiatry New Zealand and an advisor for cultural safety within the profession. Cynthia’s passion is gaining health equity and improving access to services for better indigenous health outcomes. After completing her Masters in Health practice Cynthia began her Doctorate pathway in Health Science with a major in Maori Health. Cynthia collaborates her research skill and experience with the team at Hāpai te Hauora to together foster Tikanga Based Research for improved research-based health outcomes.
