Ruthie Nielsen (Ngā Puhi) is a Public Health Advisor in the Minimising Gambling Harm Public Health team at  Hāpai te Hauora Tāpui. She is a theology graduate from LIFE Leadership College in Auckland and currently studying Public Health and Health Promotion at MIT. Ruthie brings with her experience from working in Health promotion and Youth work for Māori, Pasifika, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Her expertise focuses on community activation and empowerment, logistics, event support and youth engagement. Ruthie is immensely passionate about Māori Public Health and is driven to improve the lives of her whanau and wider community.
