NZ Drug Foundation and Hapai Medicinal Cannibus Reform Bill Workshop

1pm - 5pm, 14th March 2018

Level 2, Kotahitanga Room, Whanau Centre

Come to a workshop about making a submission on proposed changes to medicinal cannabis law in New Zealand.

Making a submission on proposed changes to laws governing access to medicinal cannabis will help MPs come up with a better law. It will make a big difference when patients, carers, whānau, health professionals and advocates have a say.

The workshops are being run by the Drug Foundation to make sure as many people as possible feel confident and well-informed enough to make a submission. Patient voices need to be heard loud and clear.

The half-day workshops will cover:

  • A summary of what the Bill says and what the government wants to see happen, and our view of potential issues with proposed changes
  • Overseas medicinal cannabis working models, including what is working and pitfalls
  • How to make a submission, including presenting to the select committee and issues around this, e.g. privacy issues, dealing with the media
