Wednesday, 15 February 2017 to Friday, 17 February 2017

Pre conference field trips and workshops will take place on the afternoon of the 15th February. There will also be a post conference presidents tour for International guests.

The conference will address the challenge of Agenda 2030 to Community Development practitioners, agencies and academics. Contributions will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Alignment with the conference theme and subthemes.
  • Addressing at least one of the goals of Agenda 2030.
  • Contribution to the field of knowledge
  • Novel approaches
  • Rigor and robust analysis

The subthemes for the conference are:​

  • Responding to conflict and forced migration
  • “Gimmee Shelter” ; the housing crisis
  • Community Led Economic Development (CLED)
  • Indigenous knowledge and practice
  • Disaster preparedness and community response
